GIS Environments in iManager

SuperMap iManager provides a simpler and more efficient way to deploy and operate GIS environments.

For example, if we build a traditional GIS cluster, we need to distribute machine, install the operating system, copy iServer package, install/configure the license, login each node to configure the cluster, and deploy/update industry data, etc. The whole process is complex, especially deploying the GIS cluster on Linux, many problems occur because of lacking familiarity with Linux. In iManager, users can simply ‘one-click’ creating a GIS cluster environment without any complicated steps.

SuperMap iManager supports to ‘one-click’ creating plenty of GIS environments, including GIS Server, GIS Portal, GIS Desktop, GIS Tiling Cluster, GIS Site, GIS Cloud Suite, GIS Big Data, Data Science Service, and Database.

GIS Server

GIS Server environment(SuperMap iServer) provides the GIS application services. After GIS Server created successfully, users can obtain the GIS functional service environment, which can be used to manage, publish and seamlessly aggregate multi-source services. Please refer to SuperMap iServer Documentation for more information.

GIS Portal

GIS Portal environment is supported by SuperMap iPortal. After GIS Portal created successfully, users can use GIS Portal environment to integration and unified management the various of GIS resources, such as maps, services, applications, and data. Please refer to SuperMap iPortal Documentation for more information.

GIS Desktop

GIS Desktop environment is supported by SuperMap iDesktopX. After GIS Desktop envirnment created successfully, users can use GIS Desktop environment to operate the iDeskstopX remotely. The iDesktopX has the functions of storing, processing, analysing GIS data, and making maps. Please refer to SuperMap iDesktopX Documentation for more information.

GIS Tiling Cluster

GIS Tiling Cluster environment is supported by GIS Server(SuperMap iServer). After the GIS Tiling Cluster created successfully, users can use the environment for data tiling. The environment supports to create a new tiling task to efficiently produce map tiles, vector tiles, and attribute tiles. The scale of GIS cluster supports to scaling with the service concurrency and the useage of CPU.

GIS Site

GIS Site environment is supported by GIS Server(SuperMap iServer) and GIS Portal(SuperMap iPortal). After GIS Site created successfully, users can get both of GIS Portal and GIS Server environments. GIS Server is agented by GIS Portal, so GIS Portal can publish services directly. The security storage of both environments are using a same MySQL database. Please refer to SuperMap iPortal and SuperMap iServer Documentation for more information.

GIS Cloud Suite

GIS Cloud Suite is spliting the functions of GIS Server, and restructuring the GIS applications by Microservice framework. After GIS Cloud Suite created successfully, users can use all the modules and functions of GIS Server. Please refer to GIS Cloud Suite.

GIS Big Data

GIS Big Data is supported by GIS Server, HBase, Spark environment, and Hadoop HDFS environment. After GIS Big Data created successfully, users can directly access GIS Server for big data analysis. Please refer to SuperMap iServer Documentation for more inforamtion.

Data Science Service

Data Science Service provides online Python development environment for data scientist and data analyst, it is allow to create, run, and monitor Python scripts online, to do distributed analysis and machine learning based on spatial data.

Database

There are five kinds of databases can be created and used in iManager, they are Redis, MySQL, PostgreSQL, PostGIS, and Elasticsearch.
